Ukraine is the world's third biggest Mn alloy producer after China and India, representing 3% of Mnalloy production last year, and Russia is number 4 (also 3% of global output):

Privat is the world's biggest producer of Mn alloy, with a combined capacity of 1.578 million mtper year for silico-manganese and ferro-manganese

Privat operates 2 Mn alloy plants in Ukraine (Nikopol and Zaporozhye), in the East of the country, 100kmfrom the city of Dnipropetrovsk.
